My precious Papaw

I had recently published a post about how my Papaw could no longer take care of himself and had moved in with my uncle due to dr's order. On Christmas eve on the way to a Christams program my uncle gave us a phone call telling us they were rushing him to their nearest hospital in Chattanooga by life star that he had experienced a stroke. A few minutes later he calls us back to tell us due to inclement weather it was no longer possible so they rushed him by ambulance. Then this morning the 26th they called and stated if we wanted to see him we needed to come now, he had another stroke, can no longer walk or eat solid foods. So we went of course and bless his heart he is so afraid of dying. He can move his legs but is to weak to walk or function but he still has his personality.They discovered he has blocked arteries in his neck which is causing his blood pressure to sky rocket and ultimately causing his severe headaches he has complained about for a while. So you may ask why did they not discover it sooner. Well he is scared of dr's, I would like for anyone reading this to please say a prayer for him that God will let his will be done with him and keep him safe. They want to do surgery, and they are concerned he is to weak for the operation. I pray that God will guide the dr's in the right direction as they make their decision.
My cousin Matthew whom my papaw and mamaw raised since he was a toddler.He is trying to smile but he does not have function of all his face muscles.

My uncle Kenny whom has taken over the role as caretaker for him, he is also matthew's dad, and my daddy's brother, of course.
Matthew whispering his I love you's before he has to leave, he is considerably stressed having to come back to Roane county to serve out his jail sentence for the next 20 days not knowing the fate of our papaw.

Our Christmas 2008

I have put together a montage of our families christmas parties, the church play austin was in and of course christmas day. I am so blessed with a wonderful family and having them all together at christmas makes it very special. Of course we need to remember we would not have such a thing as Christmas amongst many, many other things had it not been for the birth of Jesus Christ, and the fact that God sent his only begotten son for our sins. I have a whole lot be thankful for, and to me these pictures are priceless and proof of that. I would have to say that my favorite picture is Damon rocking out while his brother and sister are playing guitar hero, you will know it when you see it, ha.I hope everyone has a very blessed new year. Allen and Jennifer we missed you, hopefully we will get to see you the 31st.

Happy Birthday Baby

December 19th was my husbands 24th birthday and of course I was so busy I did not get a chance to post it. I love you very much Damon and I hoped you enjoyed the cake I baked.

Happy 15 th Kelle

On december the 13th my sis-in-law kelle turned 15 so Happy birthday good luck with the permit test, ha. My nanie also had a birthday on the same day so Happy Birthday Nanie I love you bunches and always will. The first picture is of nanie and her husband and grandson. the second picture is Kelle getting in a cake fight which her friends baked for her, lol. The last picture is kelle again just showing off how beautiful she is.

Daddy's 20 year award

They had my dads christmas dinner tonight and he got his plaque and a timex watch for working 20 years for the City of Rockwood, yay Daddy!!!! The kids got to see santa too, they were excited." Austin was being bashful and adan was just scared to death, they were both cute though.

Adan's 15 month check up

Adan is 15 months old today, I took her for her checkup and she had to get 3 shots. UGH... I hate it when they have to give my babies shots. Anyways, she was a trooper, of course she cried but only after the 2nd one and she looked at the nurse like What For!! They said she is 19 lbs 10.5 ozs, 30 3/4 inches, her head is 18 1/2 and chest is 17 1/2. She is in the 50% for her height and 10% for her weight. But the dr says it evens out cuz she is average heighth and the weight is good for the length. According to them she has one more set of shots at 18 mths and she is done til the age of 4 thank goodness. I do not know how them nurses do it.

This is our lovely stockings, my aunt makes em' and sews names on em' for extra money. I just wish she could make em' like my mamaw made mine when I was born.

Damon put up the tree a couple of weeks ago and I should have took pictures then because he made it pretty. With a 4 yr old and a 14 month old and an over excited dog well it is still pretty but rearranged.

I was tagged by Terri Jones, unfortunately I have not the first clue on where my 4th folder or 4th picture is. I only have like 12 posts so I don't think it would even go back that far. So I just pulled a random picture off of my computer. I am going to list 4 things about it.

1. This was taken aboutr 1.5 yrs ago when we still lived on kingston avenue.

2. It has austin and his puppy Tyson in the picture.

3. Tyson will be 2 yrs old this christmas, (he was a christmas present)

4. The house Austin is staring at is my parents, (yes we bought our 1st home right behind my parents,lol)

Now the funny part about that is we sold that house this past June, But we bought the house we are in last December and guess where it is, right beside Damon's parents, we just can't get away from em'!!!

My brother in law called early this morning to tell his dad that he and his wife are suprisingly with child. It is unexpected but everyone is super excited and we can't wait to see them over the holidays, Congratulations guys!!!!

Halloween Fun...

This is my beautiful little girl Adan Kay dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. She had a blast the whole night she was holding out her hand at people saying ere, ere (her version of here) for them to put candy in her hand, she was extremely happy that they did, and would not let her bucket go.

This is my handsome Big Man Austin who is truly a trooper having to go to the er the night before cuz he busted his chin open on the bathtub, they glued it thank goodness instead of stitches. He is dressed as the muscular Incredible Hulk. We started a tradition after a couple of years of trick or treating. Damon's family always gives the kids candy galore, there are about 5 houses in total that we visit, of course you talk to em' when you are there. Well due to little time, safety, and Austin getting extremely upset with people that we don't know just giving him one piece, we have stuck to just going to family's houses and Damon goes to wal-mart and buys some candy on clearance for himself, ha. Last night though they were having a trunk or treat across the street from one of the houses we visited. We went there, Austin did ok but his daddy had to stop him from grabbing candy out of their bowls.( He thought he could help himself) Well I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween we have enough candy to last us thru Christmas.

Busy Day

Today, we were out of the house all day. But with much enjoyment. My church family is very, very, important to me.Below is a picture of a Makaelib, he was baptised tonight at Gateway Baptist Church. He is the son of Angie Cooper and she is definitely my sister, regardless of blood or not. I have known her and her family since birth, and I love them all dearly. It is such a beautiful thing to see such a young person wanting to live their life for the Lord. Love you Bud!!!


We also visited my mamaw today, she is in a nursing home in Athens, Tn. She had to be placed in a lock down facility due to having the disease Alzhiemers. This is such an ugly, heartbreaking disease. Most of the time it is hard for me to stomach it. She is in good health now. Except she does not know half the people in her family. Example of how bad for those of you who don't understand, I was around her my whole life, it was not like a once a month thing, more or less everyday with frequent vacations. Today I go in there, and my dad does his normal routine and asks if she knows who he is. She states of course you look more and more like your dad everyday.(I am assuming she remembers him today because my dad does look like his dad, but...) So my dad states well who is my dad, she says laughing you should know your own dad is Arthur. (Arthur is my mamaw's brother, my papaw's name of course was Fletcher Stegall) So then my dad asks her who I am she said she does not know, he says well that is your grand daughter and your great grand daughter and great grand son. She smiles at me and says well that is nice. This is the woman that would wake me up in the middle of the night picking my nose cuz she said I was not breathing right, the very first person I ever stayed away from mom and daddy with and the same person who taught me how to tie my shoes. I vowed to myself when my mamaw frost died in 2005 and austin was only 1 that he would know this mamaw. Unfortunately she was in the early stages even then and he can know her, But she won't know him. It is hard to deal with not to mention absolutely heart wrenching. Below is some pictures, My Mamaw Pass and Papaw Pass have been married for 46 yrs, he is now living with my uncle due to the dr's stating a week ago he can no longer live by himself and they told us he has a slight touch of Alzheimer's.

Spending time with the Kids!

We are getting closer to Halloween, better yet Christmas is just around the corner. Anyways, since I am unemployed now I am trying to enjoy some family time. I made a pile of leaves to play in, which we had plenty. Adan would not go any where near it. I put her in it and she just screamed mama, mama, over and over again and then made sure to keep a lot of distance between her and the leaf pile. Kids can be real funny sometimes.


Then we bought a small pumpkin, I had no intention on carving it, Austin just insisted that we get one. Damon took it into his own hands and carved it. I think it turned out pretty good.


The last picture you see is my beautiful two children. Adan looks up to Austin so much, I can just see the love in her eyes when she looks at her big brother. She is getting bigger and smarter everyday, she has more than 20 words in her vocabulary now. Just so you know she does not pronounce them great but she tries. Instead of brother she says bubba, bath is ba, book is said without the k. She said cookie yesterday and baby, papaw, mamaw, of course mama and daddy. She tries to mawk everything you do or say. She really cracked me up the other day when we were eating at the table and Damon burped and she literally mimicked his burp with some sound.


Of course with me being off from work Austin is not in daycare anymore so I decided I would attempt to teach him at home. I just knew he would not listen to a word I said. But he surpRised me, as I would give an activity he would do excellent. Sometimes I would have to help him of course. Then when I think we are done he says mom I want to do more, so I have been having fun with him. We are planning on making a Scare Crow in the next couple of days when we do I will definitely post our masterpiece, lol.

Happy 26th B-day Jennifer

I am getting behind on my posts, I know. October 8 was my sister-in-law Jennifer's 26th Birthday. This picture is the only one I have and it is of her and my brother-in law allen when they were on their honeymoon a couple of years ago. I want to wish her a Happy Birthday and nothing but the best to come. She lives in Georgia, so we only get to see her a couple of times a year. We love you guys and miss you!!!

My friend Heather finally texted me an updated picture of her youngest baby. She turned 1 on 9-24-08. Yeah, that is right she was born just a couple of weeks after Adan my youngest. She does not live local so I have to survive on these super cute pictures. Happy late Birthday cutie!!!

I found this pic of me & Damon when I was like 17 and Damon was 16, I think. Anyways, it sure was a long time ago. Most of the pictures we have back then are of us acting stupid, but this one, well we were in a photo booth so how much trouble can you get into there, lol : ) Who knew back then we would be married and have 2 beautiful children to brag about. Just thought I would share it.

Happy 29th Anniversary Mom & Dad

On September 25th 2008 my parents celebrated 29 years of marriage. Yay, I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents. They are definitely a huge part of who I am today. My parents have been in church a little over 25 years, as a child I was forced to go to church. By forced I mean, if i did not want to go or refused to go, it was a big butt whoopin' for me, ha! My daddy always said until you are 18 I am responsible for you and I am not going to have to stand in front of God one day and explain to him why you did not go to church while you were living under my roof. I did not like him for it to much then but I sure love him for it now. A seed was planted then and I sure am glad of it today. They are awesome parents and there are so many things in my past that I wish I could change and I can not apologize enough for it. I have emotionally expressed this to them and they always say the same thing. We forgive you and don't dwell on the past, live in the present. I love you mom & dad!!!!!

Austin's Suprise for Me!!!

Austin goes to a local daycare in Rockwood called Little People Learning Academy. Well he has learned a lot there, counting, abc's, how to spell his name, write his name,when his Birthday is. But little did I know of the rhymes and riddles they teach him!!! He asks me Wednesday if he can sing me a song, so I am thinking he is going to sing his usual songs. Examples being Jesus Loves Me, Zip a dee do da, etc.... Well he has a suprise for me, I have never even heard these and let alone that he knows his right from his left or when he learned them. Ha, he is my baby and in my opinion extremely smart but I am so proud of him, it brings me to tears.By the way I had to record them all seperately so he could watch hisself, lol.

Spending Family Time!!!!

We went to Dollywood this past weekend, I worked til'12 that day, while at work I got a phone call from the sitter who told me adan had a black eye. She had hit her eye on the coffee table. I do not own a coffee table for this very reason, cuz we had this problem when Austin was a baby. Accidents happen though, and you will see it in these pictures, I did not want anyone to think I beat my child, lol. But it is getting better everyday. But we had an awesome time with just the 4 of us.

Adans B-day Party!!!

This is a video of us singing Happy Birthday to Adan who turned 1 on 9-2-08, she is a small 1 yr old at her check up she was a whole 17lbs and 12 oz ha! But she is 29in. She has came a long way, she was 7'7 and 20in at birth. I thank God every day for blessing me with this beautiful family. God is good!!!!

Oh, how time flies!!!!

This is a video of Austin when he was 11 mths old dancing, I found it on my digital camera and seeing how he is 4 1/2 now, oh how time flies. It is a few minutes of fun. This comes in handy right now cuz Adan just started dancing over this past weekend, but she keeps kind of losing her balance, but i thought I would share it. Memories, "tear".
