This is our scarecrow we made out of leaves and old clothes. Funny, we used washable markers so his face has come off. With kids you don't want non washable markers in the house, lol!!

Busy Day

Today, we were out of the house all day. But with much enjoyment. My church family is very, very, important to me.Below is a picture of a Makaelib, he was baptised tonight at Gateway Baptist Church. He is the son of Angie Cooper and she is definitely my sister, regardless of blood or not. I have known her and her family since birth, and I love them all dearly. It is such a beautiful thing to see such a young person wanting to live their life for the Lord. Love you Bud!!!


We also visited my mamaw today, she is in a nursing home in Athens, Tn. She had to be placed in a lock down facility due to having the disease Alzhiemers. This is such an ugly, heartbreaking disease. Most of the time it is hard for me to stomach it. She is in good health now. Except she does not know half the people in her family. Example of how bad for those of you who don't understand, I was around her my whole life, it was not like a once a month thing, more or less everyday with frequent vacations. Today I go in there, and my dad does his normal routine and asks if she knows who he is. She states of course you look more and more like your dad everyday.(I am assuming she remembers him today because my dad does look like his dad, but...) So my dad states well who is my dad, she says laughing you should know your own dad is Arthur. (Arthur is my mamaw's brother, my papaw's name of course was Fletcher Stegall) So then my dad asks her who I am she said she does not know, he says well that is your grand daughter and your great grand daughter and great grand son. She smiles at me and says well that is nice. This is the woman that would wake me up in the middle of the night picking my nose cuz she said I was not breathing right, the very first person I ever stayed away from mom and daddy with and the same person who taught me how to tie my shoes. I vowed to myself when my mamaw frost died in 2005 and austin was only 1 that he would know this mamaw. Unfortunately she was in the early stages even then and he can know her, But she won't know him. It is hard to deal with not to mention absolutely heart wrenching. Below is some pictures, My Mamaw Pass and Papaw Pass have been married for 46 yrs, he is now living with my uncle due to the dr's stating a week ago he can no longer live by himself and they told us he has a slight touch of Alzheimer's.

Spending time with the Kids!

We are getting closer to Halloween, better yet Christmas is just around the corner. Anyways, since I am unemployed now I am trying to enjoy some family time. I made a pile of leaves to play in, which we had plenty. Adan would not go any where near it. I put her in it and she just screamed mama, mama, over and over again and then made sure to keep a lot of distance between her and the leaf pile. Kids can be real funny sometimes.


Then we bought a small pumpkin, I had no intention on carving it, Austin just insisted that we get one. Damon took it into his own hands and carved it. I think it turned out pretty good.


The last picture you see is my beautiful two children. Adan looks up to Austin so much, I can just see the love in her eyes when she looks at her big brother. She is getting bigger and smarter everyday, she has more than 20 words in her vocabulary now. Just so you know she does not pronounce them great but she tries. Instead of brother she says bubba, bath is ba, book is said without the k. She said cookie yesterday and baby, papaw, mamaw, of course mama and daddy. She tries to mawk everything you do or say. She really cracked me up the other day when we were eating at the table and Damon burped and she literally mimicked his burp with some sound.


Of course with me being off from work Austin is not in daycare anymore so I decided I would attempt to teach him at home. I just knew he would not listen to a word I said. But he surpRised me, as I would give an activity he would do excellent. Sometimes I would have to help him of course. Then when I think we are done he says mom I want to do more, so I have been having fun with him. We are planning on making a Scare Crow in the next couple of days when we do I will definitely post our masterpiece, lol.

Happy 26th B-day Jennifer

I am getting behind on my posts, I know. October 8 was my sister-in-law Jennifer's 26th Birthday. This picture is the only one I have and it is of her and my brother-in law allen when they were on their honeymoon a couple of years ago. I want to wish her a Happy Birthday and nothing but the best to come. She lives in Georgia, so we only get to see her a couple of times a year. We love you guys and miss you!!!

Happy belated b-day Jayla Marie

My friend Heather finally texted me an updated picture of her youngest baby. She turned 1 on 9-24-08. Yeah, that is right she was born just a couple of weeks after Adan my youngest. She does not live local so I have to survive on these super cute pictures. Happy late Birthday cutie!!!
