I got a job!!

So I have been unemployed since October due to reasons beyond my control. But, today praise god I got a phone call from Baptist Hospital West asking me if I was interested in a position.....Absolutely!!!I have been trying to get hired there since November but apparently they have a very long hiring process. I am going to be working in the ER in the admissions, I start training March 9. I am so excited and grateful at the same time. I have truly been blessed in this unfortunate economy and everyone struggling to get by. I have been fortunate to have been able to have received an unemployment check to have a means to pay the few bills I have. I am including a couple of pictures that I have taken of me and the babies in the past week.

It finally Snowed!!!

So the other day my sister in law Kelle who attends the local high school, texted me with a picture message. To my surprise it was me and my old time pal Pam. I don't talk to her anymore not my decision, I would love to talk to her. I have just lost touch with all of my old friends. Needless to say it brought a smile to my face. Kelle had found it in a teachers' scrapbook. I just thought I would share the pictures.

Just a real quick update on my papaw, he is home now and walking, like I knew he could. Instead of doing the surgery they are giving him shots in his stomach to hopefully get rid of the clots in his neck. They also put him on 9 different medications. In his words "you can't keep a good man down!" Thanks to all who spoke a prayer and please continue to keep him in your thoughts.

Adan being too cute!!

Adan is really getting better at expressing herself her favorite word is definitely NO!!! But we got her saying her brothers name now and she will yell for him and it is too cute, I recorded her saying things that she says most of the time. But she seriously tries to repeat all that she hears. She says Austi, Yes it is missing an N but she is 16 months old what do you expect, lol!!! Ignore the mess it is behind the bar in the kitchen and usually company does not see that part, lol.

My precious Papaw

I had recently published a post about how my Papaw could no longer take care of himself and had moved in with my uncle due to dr's order. On Christmas eve on the way to a Christams program my uncle gave us a phone call telling us they were rushing him to their nearest hospital in Chattanooga by life star that he had experienced a stroke. A few minutes later he calls us back to tell us due to inclement weather it was no longer possible so they rushed him by ambulance. Then this morning the 26th they called and stated if we wanted to see him we needed to come now, he had another stroke, can no longer walk or eat solid foods. So we went of course and bless his heart he is so afraid of dying. He can move his legs but is to weak to walk or function but he still has his personality.They discovered he has blocked arteries in his neck which is causing his blood pressure to sky rocket and ultimately causing his severe headaches he has complained about for a while. So you may ask why did they not discover it sooner. Well he is scared of dr's, I would like for anyone reading this to please say a prayer for him that God will let his will be done with him and keep him safe. They want to do surgery, and they are concerned he is to weak for the operation. I pray that God will guide the dr's in the right direction as they make their decision.
My cousin Matthew whom my papaw and mamaw raised since he was a toddler.He is trying to smile but he does not have function of all his face muscles.

My uncle Kenny whom has taken over the role as caretaker for him, he is also matthew's dad, and my daddy's brother, of course.
Matthew whispering his I love you's before he has to leave, he is considerably stressed having to come back to Roane county to serve out his jail sentence for the next 20 days not knowing the fate of our papaw.

Our Christmas 2008

I have put together a montage of our families christmas parties, the church play austin was in and of course christmas day. I am so blessed with a wonderful family and having them all together at christmas makes it very special. Of course we need to remember we would not have such a thing as Christmas amongst many, many other things had it not been for the birth of Jesus Christ, and the fact that God sent his only begotten son for our sins. I have a whole lot be thankful for, and to me these pictures are priceless and proof of that. I would have to say that my favorite picture is Damon rocking out while his brother and sister are playing guitar hero, you will know it when you see it, ha.I hope everyone has a very blessed new year. Allen and Jennifer we missed you, hopefully we will get to see you the 31st.
